Superb read:

One day a tourist comes to the only
hotel in a debt ridden town. Lays a
$100 note on the table & goes to
inspect the rooms.
Hotel owner takes the note &
rushes to pay his debt to the
butcher.
Butcher runs to pay the pig farmer.
Pig farmer runs to pay the feed
supplier.
Supplier runs to pay the prostitute,
who in these hard times gave her
services on credit.
Hooker then runs to pay off her
debt to the hotel owner for the
rooms she rented for her clients.
Hotel owner then lays the $100
note back on the counter.
The tourist comes down, takes his
money & leaves as he did not like
the rooms.
No one earned anything. But the
town is now without debt & looks to
the future with a lot of optimism.
.
.
....And that is how the world is doing
business today. 

Interesting story- LIVING WITHOUT RECOGNITION IS A SKILL

There was a farmer who had a horse and a goat…..
One day, the horse became ill and he called the veterinarian, who said:
- Well, your horse has a virus.
He must take this medicine for three days.
I'll come back on the 3rd day and if he's not better, we're going to have to put him down.

Nearby, the goat listened closely to their conversation.
The next day, they gave him the medicine and left.
The goat approached the horse and said:
- Be strong, my friend.
Get up or else they're going to put you to sleep!

On the second day, they gave him the medicine and left.
The goat came back and said:
- Come on buddy, get up or else you're going to die!
Come on, I'll help you get up.
Let's go! One, two, three...

On the third day, they came to give him the medicine and the vet said:
- Unfortunately, we're going to have to put him down tomorrow.
Otherwise, the virus might spread and infect the other horses.
After they left, the goat approached the horse and said:
- Listen pal, it's now or never!
Get up, come on! Have courage!
Come on! Get up! Get up!
That's it, slowly! Great!
Come on, one, two, three... Good, good.
Now faster, come on...... Fantastic! Run, run more!
Yes! Yay! Yes! You did it, you're a champion!!!
All of a sudden, the owner came back, saw the horse running in the field and began shouting:
- It's a miracle! My horse is cured.
We must have a grand party.
Let's kill the goat!!!!

The Lesson:
Nobody truly knows which employee actually deserves the merit of success, or who's actually contributing the necessary support to make things happen.
Remember………
LEARNING TO LIVE WITHOUT RECOGNITION IS A SKILL!!!!
If anyone ever tells you that your work is unprofessional, remember:

Happy Belated 75th Birthday - Indian Radio

Well... I did not write about this on the "D" day purposely and waited for 10 days to do this.
Reason is practical... I belong to the industry and the industry in itself was not wanting to do anything on this.
Or probably not even aware.. Sad :(

23rd of July this year marked 75 years of Indian radio.
The first Radio Broadcast in India happened on 23rd July 1927 in Bombay (Now Mumbai)

As per the wikipedia page for AIR:-
In British India, broadcasting began in July 1927 with programmes by the Radio Club of Bombay and other radio clubs. According to an agreement of 1926, the private Indian Broadcasting Company (IBC) was authorized to operate two radio stations; the Bombay station began on 23 July 1927, and the Calcutta station followed on 26 August 1927.

Now the question is...
That the radio stations in the country end up doing a big ticket activity. (3 days to a week minimum) on the World Music Day.
As I posted in my last post.. its not the World "Music Day" but the "World Music" Day.
i.e. Its about a genre of music called "World Music" and not the Day for the World to celebrate Music in general.

So where are we heading?? What are we giving out to the masses.

I believe that if a show presenter pronounces a word wrong, then at least 10 people would change their pronunciation of that word thinking that this was the correct one.

In  such situations... are we headed the right way??

Please do leave your comments :)

World Music Day.... Significant or Not???

So..

Guess everyone's through with celebrating the "World Music Day".

We played songs.. we did a lot of stuff on air... we were rocking!!!
Thats what everyone in radio would be thinking... Even in other media...And the clubbers too!!! Isn't it?
Yess.. you were rocking!!!

But... Did anyone of you actually try to understand the significance of the so called MUSIC DAY for the WORLD???
Did any of you ever googled it and read through the first few results??

NO....!!!!  Right??

Let me tell you what it actually means...

One origin of the term was the initiation of World Music Day (FĂȘte de la Musique) in 1982 in France.
World Music Day has been celebrated on 21 June every year since then.

The FĂȘte de la Musique, also known as World Music Day, is a music festival taking place on June 21.

Its a festival where a specific genre of music called World Music is celebrated.
It is not a day where music is celebrated as a whole.

What??? But we thought it was the 'WORLD' Music Day??
Now thats the expression you have reading this right??

Well yess... You were wrong...
Its not the  'WORLD' Music Day... but the  'WORLD MUSIC' Day..!!

So what is World Music??
World music is a term with widely varying definitions, often encompassing music which is primarily identified as another genre.
In the classic definition, world music is the traditional music or folk music of a culture that is created and played by indigenous musicians and is closely related to the music of the regions of their origin.
The term was originally intended for ethnic-specific music, though globalization is expanding its scope; it now often includes hybrid sub-genres such as World fusion,Global fusion, Ethnic fusion and Worldbeat.

WESTERN RADIO AND WORL MUSIC
Interestingly... World music radio programs these days often play African hip hop or reggae artists, crossover Bhangra and Latin American jazz groups, etc. Common media for world music include Public radio, webcasting, the BBC, NPR, and ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation).

There also are awards...
The BBC Radio 3 Awards for world music was an award given to world music artists between 2002 and 2008, sponsored by BBC Radio 3. The award was thought up by fRoots magazine's editor Ian Anderson, inspired by the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. Award categories included: Africa, Asia/Pacific, Americas, Europe, Mid East and North Africa, Newcomer, Culture Crossing, Club Global, Album of the Year, and Audience Award. Initial lists of nominees in each category were selected annually by a panel of several thousand industry experts. In March 2009, the BBC made a decision to axe the BBC Radio 3 Awards for world music.

In response to the BBC's decision to end its awards program, the British world music magazine Songlines launched the Songlines Music Awards in 2009 "to recognise outstanding talent in world music".

The WOMEX (The World Music Expo) Award was first introduced in 1999 to honor the high points of world music on an international level and to acknowledge musical excellence, social importance, commercial success, political impact and lifetime achievement.[32] Every October at the WOMEX event, the award figurine - an ancient mother goddess statue dating back about 6000 years to the Neolithic age - is presented in an award ceremony to a worthy member of the world music community

So...
This is what the WORLD MUSIC DAY is about..
And what did we think/ do??

Hahahahahahahahaha.....!!!!!!!!!

Stay Tuned... :)

So... Monster India Turns Into A Spammer For Survival.. Is it??

I recently started recieving these spam emails regarding property.... They were kinda similar to what we used to get as text messages before the law changed a few months back. The frequency of these emails is exactly the same... about 3-6 per day... and increasing day by day.

Well... I used to flag such emails as spam and gmail used to send them to my trashbin.
But when the emails got unbearable.. I decided to click on the "unsubscribe" button.

To my surprise... it took me to the monster india page where it asked me to log in.

I checked the privacy statement and it starts with "Monster is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. We want to provide a safe, secure user experience."

But it also ends with "We may make changes to our privacy commitment from time to time"

Guess they made the change and its time to say a goodbye to them.. As it is they are out of the Job Business...
I heard they layed off quite a few employees some time back in their offices in south india.

Well..Still.. one of the top 3 job portals is not expected to compromise your privacy for making ends meet.

Strange... Sad... but fact..

Now would someone tell me how to get rid of those annoying spam emails that I've been getting by the dozen???

Lets Get Those Tints Off Our Car Glasses

So now that the Supreme court has ordered removal of tinted films from your car… The accessories shop is trying to make its money by charging almost the same to what it used to charge for fixing a film.
Not that its their fault, they also need to run kitchens.. J
I’ve noticed most of them charging Rs. 50 per glass. That makes Rs 300 considering the front screen also has the film at the top.
Here’s a little something that I found by researching the internet. I could easily remove the film without having dirty glasses with this.

What You Will Require to Remove Car Tinting
  • Paper towels
  • Window cleaner
  • Black trash bags
  • Fine grade steel wool
  • Razor blades
Preparation for Removing Car Window Tint
Step One – Wait for a warm, sunny day to start before removing the car window tint. The sun’s warmth will assist in removing the old window tint.
Step Two – Save time to work for removing the car window tint. This needs time needed by your car to soak up the warmth of the sun.
Step Three - Park the car outside so that direct sunlight falls on it.
Step Four - Cut a garbage bag along its sides. This way you will have one large sheet of plastic.

Removing tints from the side window & removing it from the rear glass are two different processes.
The rear glass usually has the defroster lines that need to be carefully kept intact.

Removing Tint from Side Windows of Car

Step One – Get hold of the corner of the tint film with the razor blade.
Step Two – Keep on peeling the film away from the car window with the razor blade. You may have to remove it in many pieces.
Step Three – Work the razor blade over the entire surface of the car window to take off the remaining residue.
Step Four – Sprinkle the car window with window-cleaner liquid.
Step Five – Make use of towels and fine steel wool to clean the left out residue from the car windows.

Removing Tint from Rear Window of Car
Step One - Envelope the seats of your car with tarp or any such thing that will protect them from the spray debris.
Step Two – Next sprinkle window cleaner on the inside of the rear window of your car.
Step Three – Immediately press plastic garbage bag on the inside surface of the rear window of your car. Make sure you have covered all portions of the exposed glass.
Step Four – This process needs to be repeated about every 20 minutes for two hours. This way, you are basically steaming the tint off the car window.
Step Five – Next the razor blade will be used to peel off the plastic film at the corner of the car window, where there are no defroster lines. Try peeling off the plastic from the car window in one piece.
Step Six - Spray away some more window-cleaner on the car window while you remove the tint film. This will prevent the glue from drying up again.
Step Seven – You can scrub away the leftover adhesive using ammonia/ thinner and fine steel wool. This is going to be time consuming, so have patience.

NRI GROOMS... Yes Or No??

Dear All,

We need your support on an issue which most of us would've witnessed in our lives.

The NRI Marriage Fraud.. (Also known as 21 day marriage &/or the sham marriage)

Lately we lost one of our loved one after she committed suicide in the US due to constant harassment by her husband
(who by the way was her lover for 8 years before he went to the US 3 years back)
At the same time another close friend also attempted to kill herself for similar reasons.

We all have heard about the odd stories about how an NRI guy wooed this simple gal our family knew.. Married & then ditched for some reason or the other... There usually are three ways such marriages shape up:

  • The guy would go back to send the girl's papers soon..(At some places.. keep the girl with his parents, so that they can get their visas claiming that they're leaving a family member behind to return to.. & when they go.. No one returns ever) Usually the girl by then is expecting to deliver also.. & then is left with the baby & her fate to never be able to remarry due to the social stigma or the legal fact that she's still LEGALLY married!!!

  • The guy takes the girl along on an H4 visa (which by the way doesn't give the girl any legal rights in the US but DOES revoke her rights back home)Now upon reaching... The girl finds that the guy is already married & sometimes also has kids.. The girls passport & all are locked up.. she has no access to any mode of communication & no money too.. Usually she's not allowed to go out.. make friends etc.. All she's made to do is the household chores & there are times when she's thrown out of the house one strange night & basically abandoned! Sometimes to avoid trouble for himself.. the guy ensures that the first thing he does is get the girl to deliver a baby.. so that then, being of Indian traditional values she'd take the things easily. BASICALLY THIS WOMAN SPENDS ALL HER TIME AS A DOMESTIC HELP!!

  • The guy would befriend the girl via Internet or sometimes via phone where its an arranged alliance. Thereafter.. come on a holiday for 21 days (that's the usual there)
  1. First week.. Meet & charm the girl.
  2. Second week... Plan for a Chat Mangni Pat Shaadi
  3. Third week.. Shadi & Honeymoon..
  • THAT'S IT... He'd Go Back & Disappear..The girl would again be left with No choice for the rest of her life!
There are other stories also but usually these are the ones doing the rounds.
Of course there are stories that are the other way round too (Section 498-A of the IPC) where the girl married for the visa etc.. or Just some of those marriages that work!! But this is what usually happens!

Did you Know: According to one estimate, up to 20,000 women have been abandoned by their non-resident Indian (NRI) husbands every year.

NRI men abandoning wives is not a new phenomenon in the UK and US. It has been happening for over two decades now. But it’s surprising that despite still want to get their daughters married off to such men and girls themselves want to marry men abroad

NOW WHAT HELP WE WANT??

We'd want everyone to share their views & STORIES if any with us so that we could form a strong website that we're already working on.
This website is our tribute to the soul of the ones who couldnt take it further.

Please comment!!

Thanks

P.S.: I'VE PUT SOME RESEARCH LINKS IN THE COMMENTS. MUST READ THOSE SHOCKING PIECES OF INFORMATION. Especially this one : http://staging.livemint.com/2007/06/15143222/2008/05/22235620/The-export-of-trophy-wives.html?d=2

What is your Most Memorable "FIRST" ?

Hi There,

We all remember the FIRST's we've had in our life, such as:

**The First time your parents gave you the car keys (after you got your driver's license)
**The First paycheck you received on that First job.

What FIRST Thing is Most Memorable To You ?

Please share your thoughts...

You GIVE what you GET or You GET what you GIVE

Here's a little something I read somewhere.. thought its very apt to share it here:

If you read it (Think about it) just once, it might appear same to you but there is a difference.

The Former is BLAMING the whole world and the latter is ACCEPTING the RESPONSIBILITY.
The Former is NEGATIVE Approach and the latter is POSITIVE.
The Former shows arrogance and ego and the latter is more humane and disciplined.

What is your approach in YOUR Life?

You give what you get or you think that you are getting what you have given to people?

Kindly share. :)

The Easy Life!!

Here are the lyrics of a song called "Easy As Life". :

This is the moment when the gods expect me
To beg for help but I won't even try
I want nothing in this world but myself to protect me
But I won't lie down, roll over and die
All I have to do is to forget how much I love him
All I have to do is put my longing to one side
Tell myself that love's an ever-changing situation
Passion would have cooled and all the magic would have died
It's easy, it's easy

All I have to do is to pretend I never knew him
On those very rare occasions when he steals into my heart
Better to have lost him when the ties were barely binding
Better the contempt of the familiar cannot start
It's easy, It's easy

Until I think about him as he was when I last touched him
And how he would have been were I to be with him today
Those very rare occasions don't let up they keep on coming
All I ever wanted and I'm throwing it away
It's easy, it's easy as life

But then I see the faces of a worn , defeated people
A father and a nation who won't let a coward run
is this how the gods reward the faithful through the ages ?
Forcing us to prove the hardest things we've done
Are easy
So easy
And though I'll think about him 'til the earth draws in around me
And though I choose to leave him for another kind of love
This is no denial, no betrayal but redemption
Redeemed in my own eyes and in the pantheon above
It's easy
It's easy as life
It's easy as life
It's easy as life

But... Is that all that is life???

To Be Continued!...

GLOBALISATION

Here's a different version of 'globalization' that someone had sent me a while back. Enjoy!

What is globalization, one may ask?

Well, below here is probably the best example of the definition of globalization.

Question: What is the height of globalization?
Answer: Princess Diana's death

Question: How come?
Answer: An English princess with an Egyptian boyfriend crashes in a French tunnel, driving a German car with a Dutch engine, driven by a Belgian who was high on Scottish whiskey, followed closely by Italian Paparazzi, on Japanese motorcycles, treated by an American doctor, using Brazilian medicines! And this is sent to you by an Indian, using Bill Gates' technology which he stole from the Japanese. And you are probably reading this on one of the IBM clones that use Philippine-made chips, and Korean made monitors, assembled by Bangladeshi workers in a Singapore plant, transported by lorries driven by Malaysians, hijacked by Indonesians and finally sold to you by an Indian vendor who bought it from the Chinese!

That's Globalization!!!

Are you runnin?

Every morning a Deer wakes up and knows that it will have to outrun the fastest Tiger or it will be killed. And, every morning a Tiger wakes up and knows that it will have to outrun the slowest Deer or it will starve to death.

Whichever one you may be... Isn't it that since you grew big enough to understand that you're a living being... you run.. run.. run!!!

Any phase of life: Kid/ Child/ Adolecent/ Adult/ Middle Age/ Old Age ......You run!! for someting is there that you have to run for or someone will catch you since you're that someting that they're runnin for! :)

So, it doesn't matter if you are the Tiger or the Deer. When that sun comes up, you had better be running.

Think about it!

Have you done anything to reduce your carbon footprint?

There are so many talks about global warming, environment etc.
We are all being asked to save the planet from carbon emissions.

Do you do any of the following?

* Turn off appliances, lights, computers (not just standby).
* Have you changed your car to something with lower emissions? Or reduced your driving?
* Have you reduced your flights?
* Turned down your heating or air con?
* Improved the energy efficiency of your house; added insulation, solar power or solar water heating.
* Moved house to be closer to work, schools, family and hence reduce commuting?

If not, what would make you do so?
What needs to happen before you do the items above?
Do we really need to do it??

LPO's (Legal BPO)! Are they the next big thing in India???

From my experience in handling the legal practice in my previous role, I came accross a lot of information on the upcoming of a new industry called "Legal Process Outsourcing".I've done some further research on this & hope the fllowing is good & informative reading to all the visitors on my blog.

IN TODAY'S competitive world of business, gaining efficiency and staying profitable have become the corporate mantras. Most international law firms based in the US and Europe are taking the Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) route to be lucrative. Several international law firms, legal departments of large corporations and also state and federal government agencies are increasingly outsourcing their legal work to India to reduce cost and increase efficiency. Like other BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) activities, India's legal services are affordable and efficient.
A website refers to a Nasscom report that foresees significant growth in the Indian outsourcing market for legal services. News reports are projecting steady growth of legal jobs being outsourced offshore. Growing from 12000 jobs now to 35000 by 2010 to 79000 by 2015 with 60% -70% going to INDIA. NASCOM says that this is a substantial change from credit card processing and similar BPO services to hi end work. Some of the legal work now being outsourced includes legal research and organizing documents for litigation.Legal Outsourcing has been gaining momentum rapidly and the maturity and sophistication of the Indian workforce is the primary enabler to white collar outsourcing work.
India is set to achieve significant growth from its current share of 3-4 per cent to 6-7 per cent in the 250 billion dollar global market of Legal Process Outsourcing, by 2010.According to the BPO Council of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASSOCHAM), more than 200 top US companies alone are looking for offshore locations towards achieving saving of 30-70 per cent. The Chamber says, "India is already known for its large and increasing pool of quality engineering graduates, many of who are being attracted to the patent services segment of legal BPO." Estimates report that by early 2006, there were over 400 professionals engaged in providing patent services such as literature searches, prior-art searches, technology and patentability assessment, patent claim mapping, etc, from India. There are over 600 patent agents registered with the Indian Patent Office in India and about 300 Intellectual Property professionals who are non-registered. About one-third of these 900 professionals currently provide patent services to European and American end clients, and this number is likely to double to 1,800-2,000 by 2010.
It's Act 2 of the Indian BPO story. As the number and variety of services grows, a large number of new career opportunities are being created.
ASSOCHAM President Anil K Agarwal says, the conservative estimates of the current addressable market potential for legal services, outsource-able from the US alone are pegged at 3-4 billion dollars.

This comprises paralegal and research support, contract drafting and revising and contract management, library services, patent and trademark prosecution and litigation support, he said.Major countries providing legal services market include USA, UK, France, Australia, South Korea, Japan and China. However, given the advantages of Indian lawyers, experts believe that it is unlikely that other Asian countries will compete in this sector, as has been the case with call centres.
Popular BPO outfits, which undertake legal outsourcing, are OfficeTiger, Intellevate, Prism and Comat. Hourly rates charged range between $40 and $60.The same work performed in the US would cost a whopping $350.
Offshore outsourcing is resulting in fees averaging as little as 2,000 dollars per application, as opposed to law firm fees of 8,000 dollars to 12,000 dollars for those same applications, performed by a US patent law firm.
There are a host of firms providing legal services and, hence, a lot of careers waiting to be made. These are in four key areas:
*Legal Transcription and Drafting Services*Patent Prosecution*Legal Research*Other Services
Outsourcing legal work to India costs up to 80 per cent less than the cost of using the services of American law firms.
The advantage of the time zone, availability of English speaking attorneys and familiarity with common law doctrines attract foreign firms. Indian attorneys with US/UK qualifications are sought after. International attorneys are impressed not only by the labour cost differential, but also by the quality and speed of work done. Most LPO outfits in India are reported to be staffed 24/7.

The way it seems prima facia... Its the next big thing!!!
So what are your plans for the future???

FM Radio: A Battle thats "good sound" to ears!!

We've heard of battles in the history & wars in the corporate world!!AD-Wars... Cola wars etc etc... But this time its a war thats music to ears.Yess.. I'm talking about RADIO!!
As everyone who knows me is aware that I'm an ardent fan of the radio... to an extent that my ultimate dream in life is to run an FM channel that plays non-stop DJ music 24x7!
OK the radio has gained its importance back in the recent days & is now growing at a fast pace!! As per what I herd from someone, there are plans to have 270 radio stations by the end of the year!
Lets talk about the stations in Delhi for now.

There are at present 9 commercial & 2 community channels on air in the city.
91.1 -Radio City: One of the oldest & the best Radio Stations in Delhi. Check out the Breakfat Show with RJ Mehak.
92.7 -Big FM: An initiative of the Adlabs group. They plan to have a station in every town in the country. As per the recent news, they're re doing their programming format. Lets see what it has in store!
93.5 -Red FM: One of the best stations in town. The RJs are simply too good & the music well chosen.Nittin is someone you need to listen to.. He's an award winning RJ.
94.3 -Radio One: An initiative by mid-day. The channel is still trying to work its way to be the best.
95.0 -Hit FM: No RJs all music!! They play good english as well as hindi hits! Great format!
98.3 -Radio Mirchi: Again one of the best! Nice programming all oiver the stations.102.6 -AIR FM RainbowWell one of our good old All India Radio Challels.
104.0 -Fever FM: An initiative of Hindustan Times. They're amongs the middle level & are constantly inovating to reach the top bracket.
104.8 -Radio Meow: A new initiative of the India Today group. Their strategy is absolutely different. More Talk- Less Music. They also call themselves as the station for women! Interesting phone in discussions. Must check it out!
106.4 -AIR FM Gold: Well the name says it all!
105.6 -Gyan Vani, Delhi: Well the name says it all!

There are two other (Community Radio) channels, also catering to a limited set of people:
90.4 -Radio Jamia
96.9 -IIMC Radio

Some interesting facts that I gathered from the internet:
(Source: Key Findings from Madison Media Research)

* Radio has a reach of 56% and there is a distinct skew towards males.
* Radio Mirchi is the most popular station and is tuned by people in SEC A and B.
* People listen to FM at home (70%), while driving (32%), at public places (9%) and at the office (7%).
* Almost 51% of the people listen to FM for an average time of one hour and another 39% listen to FM for a longer period of 1-3 hours.
* Sunday listenership is dramatically low with only 10% of the people tuning in to FM vs. weekdays where the number of tune-ins is as high as 94%.
* Majority of the people listen to Hindi film songs (63%), followed by Hindi pop (40%), remixes (37%) and English pop (33%).

So... They way things are going in the country, looks like we'd be on the lines of the international trends in some years. ...And thats when I can think of realising my dreams of starting up with my kinda channel! :)

Well.. Guess thats all from my side for now.Stay tuned!

Life as I see it!!

Friends..
Now that I have time while I'm in my transition phase.. thought I'll relate what my perspective of life is... & Start some discussion over it via the comments option here!
I'm lookin for answers to some questions... Usually in the brackets/ parentheses along with the points below. Do suggest!
Now.. Life.. How I see it is something like this:

Meaning Of Life: The meaning of life is to give life a meaning

What life is: Life is offering a wide range of emotions and events; they help us to discover who we really are.

What reality is: Nothing happens by coicidence. Learn how to interpret all the events of your life. (I'm still tryin my best to do that :)!)

What love is: I believe that love is the key for everything. (I'm still wondering Y is it that "Love" is the one that develops into "Hatred" when a loved one acts on the negative!)

About Choices: You can't make someone else's choices. You shouldn't let someone else make yours. (Well.. sometimes.. Do we HAVE a choice???)

Man & Circumstances: Man is not the creature of circumstances, circumstances are the creatures of men. (Y is it that in my life... I was NOT the MAN who created the circumstances for yself?? Or is it that I just think so??)

Guess I'll write more next time... But for now, I'll just paste some quotes:

* Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do. -Life Philosophy of John Wooden
* Even a fool knows you can't reach the stars, but that doesn't stop a wiseman from trying.
* When an affliction happens to you, you either let it defeat you, or you defeat it...
* It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what your not.
* You will never achieve what you never begin...
...& the one I believe in most! : If one seeks advice, give them direction, not correction.

Now after all these positive quotes... I have this strange feeling.. I wonder, If every one takes this course for their lives, we would HAVE.. JUST THIS course of live!!I mean no dirty competition.. no professional/ personal politics.. A healthy competitive environment!!

Think About it! :)

Until next time...

Looking Back.. Looking Forward!!! (Goodbye to friends at KMC)

There are things that we never want to let go of, …people we never want to leave behind!
But they say that letting go isn’t the end of the world, ….it’s the beginning of a new life!

Dear Colleagues

This is my last day in the office which means it is time to say farewell to you!

During the past few weeks I have received many kind messages, greetings and words of encouragement from you – my friends and colleagues – that have made me feel both deeply grateful and sadly aware of who and what I am leaving!
The KMC has given me the happiest two years of my professional life - I would like to thank all the KMC staff for this precious time & support.

It makes me feel a bit emotional while I draft this mail and wish that this association would have lasted longer. It has been a great journey together!
As I write this letter, a lot of old memories flash in my mind. Those little moments of frolic, sharing jokes over a cup of coffee…. The sutta breaks… The team building activities… & irritating all of you with my never ending ESAT emails. The trip to Lansdowne.. & the Town hall Parties! All of this would stay with me forever.
I have enjoyed my tenure here and I appreciate the love, care and affection you have showered me with for all these years. Thank you for your timely guidance and encouragement.

Even though I will miss you all and the company very much, I am looking forward to the new opportunity of beginning a new phase of my career.

You can keep in touch with me at my personal email address:
sumeet.chaudhri@gmail.com …Or over the phone: 98 9165 5488 (M)
Also, I just started blogging. Check for my updates here:

I would be glad if you drop me a note/ line once in a while. J

I would like to bid farewell to you all with the warmest of wishes. I wish you all good luck in all your endeavors and hope that we’ll meet again sometime in the journey of life. I wish each of you and the firm lots of continued success and fulfillment.
Thanks again for everything. I will miss this extended family of mine!!!

Warm Regards
Sumeet Chaudhri

May you always have work for your hands to do. …..May your pockets hold always a coin or two!
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane. …...May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain!
May the hand of a friend always be near you. …..And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you!

Goodbye Dear Friends … Until We Meet Again!!

P.S.: I’ve placed a copy of the KMC song I made in the P-Drive. (P:\KMC SONG).
Just though it would be a good thing to leave behind as a memory! J
